NoHo Real Estate
NoHo apartments offer superior living options in a central section of downtown Manhattan. The small and exclusive neighborhood of NoHo, whose acronym stands for North of Houston, is bordered by Bowery to the east, Broadway to the west, Houston Street to the south and Astor Place to the north. The neighborhood sits in the southwestern part of the East Village and is on the cusp of Greenwich Village, SoHo and NoLita. NoHo still retains some of its look and history as a manufacturing and warehouse district, but has developed into a supremely gentrified section of town with an artistic bent.
Primarily comprised of luxury loft apartments and townhouses, the average listing price for real estate in NoHo is significantly higher than most other areas in Manhattan. The small size of the area, however, affects the number of listings, and averages undoubtedly spike with the listings and sales of particularly upscale properties. Other available living options are more affordable low-rise walkups that line Bowery and the few side streets that make up the neighborhood.
NoHo residents have some of the city’s best shopping, dining and entertainment all within walking distance from anywhere in the neighborhood. NoHo has its own popular food and clothing destinations, many of which make “top” lists in various media publications. In addition, from the ethnic restaurants and bars of the Village to the designer boutiques and shops of SoHo and NoLita, this section of town is a perfect place for those who enjoy taking advantage of what the area has to offer.
