Broker Loyalty  -  Build Relationships for Success

Broker loyalty means choosing to work with only a single broker and it can be a very important factor in your search.   Like every good relationship, trust and two-way communication are essential. The broker - buyer relationship takes time to build and as it grows, it becomes more productive for both of you. 
A good broker will work incredibly hard for you, searching to find exactly what you are looking for.  They are motivated to do this knowing that if they are successful, they will be compensated for their efforts. If you give a broker reasons to suspect that a transaction is not going to occur with them, such as you working with multiple brokers or not being serious about your search, then they naturally will be less inclined to invest the time required to find your dream apartment.  As a result, you will be at a competitive disadvantage versus other buyers who are committed to both their brokers and the search process.
The best thing you can do is to work exclusively with a single buyer’s broker. Make sure they understand that you are committed to working with them.  Communicate with them about EXACTLY what you are looking for and what you expect from them. Make sure you are comfortable with the person and their style of communication. Lots of little details are discussed throughout this process and you don’t want any of them to be overlooked.  Make sure that you are serious and committed to your goal of finding the perfect property and expect the same from your broker.
