Forest Hills real estate provides a beautiful residential setting for all of its residents. Forest Hills is located in the western part of central Queens. Although there is much speculation regarding the true boundaries of the Forest Hills neighborhood, its residents consider this neighborhood to consist of the area north of Union Turnpike and south of 67th Avenue, and in the middle of Rego Park and Flushing Meadows. While being separated by a short 15 minute train ride, Forest Hills has been considered by many to be the closest suburban environment to Manhattan.
Living options in Forest Hills include apartments and condos in multiple low-rise apartment buildings, detached single-family homes and the exquisite Tudor-style homes in Forest Hills Gardens. Due to the large array of living options, the real estate prices vary accordingly. One can expect to pay reasonable prices for homes and condos located along Queens Boulevard. However, prospective residents looking to live in the more private Forest Hills Gardens must be ready to pay steeper prices. This nice mix of living accommodations allows residents to come to Forest Hills and choose which option fits their needs.
Forest Hills offers a wide arrangement of activities to keep its residents constantly busy and never bored. On Austin Street, residents are able to find plenty of small shops, chain stores and a movie theatre. The Forest Hills Garden Community offers its residents the opportunity to become a member of the Gardens Community House. The Community House offers a fitness center, a swimming pool and multiple activities for children and adults to get involved with during their off-time.
